paying attention to your surroundings, well, you might miss a few things…

Think of the best speaker you know.

Think of how that person engages their audience.

Chances are, they stand up straight, they speak clearly, and they use a variety of short and

Because what if you look out into your crowd and see that everyone looks downright confused? [Students looking confused]

Well, then you might need to slow down your pacing or try to explain things in a simpler way.

Or, if your audience looks super bored, then you'll probably want to speed things up and

get extra-dramatic in order to keep them interested.
